About the role#
Young Life is seeking a Student Staff member to join the team in Birmingham. This role focuses on spiritual development, leadership, and direct ministry engagement. As a member of the staff, you will work under the supervision of an area director to develop ministry skills, build community, and support the organization's mission.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster spiritual life and discipline.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping activities.
- Participate in a team to conduct Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain consistent donor care practices.
- Assist with office administration, expense reporting, and general ministry support tasks.
- Attend required regional and area training events to enhance character and ministry competency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a college degree in fields such as Psychology, Communications, Political Science, History, or Philosophy.
- Proven relational skills when working with both youth and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all professional matters.
- A commitment to the Young Life mission and adherence to the organization's Statement of Faith.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an anticipated salary range of $20,400 to $28,100, depending on relevant education and experience.
