About the role#
The Student Document Services Assistant provides administrative support to the department. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role based in Pleasantville, New York. The schedule is flexible and determined with your supervisor, capped at 20 hours per week during the school session and 35 hours per week during breaks.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist visitors arriving at the office.
- Answer questions regarding department procedures.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and take detailed messages for staff.
- Handle general clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, shredding, and faxing.
- Support various department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to work independently.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Patience when assisting visitors.
- Office experience is a plus.
- Preference for students majoring in Business Administration or Communications.
