About the role#
The Pace Fit Student Assistant role involves working at the student-run smoothie bar located in the Goldstein Fitness Center. You will serve as counter help or take on management responsibilities depending on the specific needs of the business. This position offers hands-on experience in running a campus enterprise.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and sell smoothies and fitness-related products to customers.
- Manage business shifts and assist with daily operations.
- Perform administrative duties to support the business.
- Meet weekly with the Center for Student Enterprise advisor if serving in a management capacity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace behind the counter.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student currently taking in-person business classes on the Pace Pleasantville campus.
- You must have a declared major or minor in a business discipline.
- You must be highly reliable and available to work at least two shifts per week, including a weekend shift on a rotation basis.
- You need strong customer service and organizational skills.
- You must be able to work independently and handle confidential information discreetly.
- SERVSAFE training is required for all employees.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Schedule: Shifts generally fall between 10 am and 5 pm. You will work no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Training: The Center for Student Enterprise covers the cost of required SERVSAFE training offered on campus.
