About the role#
The Transmission Engineering Services group in Denver is looking for an intern to support substation and transmission design projects. You will work with field crews, facility ratings engineers, and the data governance team to ensure project data remains accurate, complete, and compliant. This position offers exposure to document control and quality assurance processes within an engineering environment. The internship begins May 31, 2027, and may extend based on performance and business needs.
What you'll do#
- Interpret markups and comments to update drawings and spreadsheets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Manage and track project documentation within ProjectWise.
- Provide regular updates on tracker progress.
- Learn the fundamentals of document and data management for design projects.
- Assist in the improvement of existing team processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher as of Fall 2027 at an ABET accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in computer engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields like management information systems, drafting, or project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Experience with drafting, design, data analytics, or data management.
- Strong organizational, time management, and detail-oriented skills.

- Location: Denver, Colorado.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring in-person attendance.
- Schedule: Full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
- Compensation: $21.20 to $23.10 per hour.
