About the role#
The Cal Alumni Association is hiring a Student Assistant to join our Marketing and Communications team. You will report to the Senior Data Analyst and assist with the management of alumni engagement data. This role is a fit for students in Data Science or Statistics who want to gain practical experience in an educational setting.
What you'll do#
- Clean and standardize incoming alumni engagement data.
- Process and upload data following established team procedures.
- Participate in weekly check-ins.
- Assist with various tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program, specifically in Data Science or Statistics.
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to pass a background check.
- Completion of campus-required data privacy and security training.
- Commitment to following federal, state, and campus data privacy laws.
Location & details#
- The pay rate is $20.35 per hour.
- Work-study is required.
- The schedule is 10 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate your classes.
- This is a hybrid position, splitting time between the Alumni House in Berkeley and remote work. Remote work must be performed within California.
