About the role#
The Actuarial Delivery Group (ADG) at WTW focuses on operational excellence and systems expertise within the North American Retirement business. As an intern, you will contribute to retirement valuation and special projects, gaining insight into Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and post-retirement welfare plans. Please note that this role does not involve the actuarial exam program, and we are looking for candidates who are not interested in pursuing future actuarial exams.
What you'll do#
- Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports.
- Conduct data analysis and reconciliations of pension plan participant data.
- Calculate pension benefits using established spreadsheets or our proprietary plan administration system.
- Prepare government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements.
- Participate and actively engage in training sessions.
- Support ad-hoc special projects and collaborate with team members to meet quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a major with significant quantitative course work.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and on teams.
- Ability to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
