About the role#
The Occupational Health & Safety Internship is part of the Woodside Energy Early Career Pathways initiative. This program provides students with hands-on experience by supporting U.S. business operations through project-based work. You will focus on workforce health, operational safety, process safety, and risk management priorities. This role serves as a pipeline for future graduate and early-career opportunities within the company.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects involving occupational health and safety programs, industrial hygiene, safety performance analytics, and risk assessments.
- Support incident prevention, process safety, safety systems, field and operational safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in training initiatives, human factors, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work alongside experienced professionals in HSE, process safety, risk management, and operations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors/Ergonomics, or a related field.
- Current status as a rising junior or senior with an expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2029.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

- Availability: Must be available for at least 12 consecutive weeks.
