About the role#
The Business & Energy Markets Internship is a summer program designed to build talent in commercial, trading, marketing, and analytics functions. You will gain hands-on experience supporting commercial activities across the energy value chain, including crude oil, natural gas, and LNG. This role provides exposure to how market insights and operational execution support energy trading and marketing.
What you'll do#
- Support commercial activities across crude oil, natural gas, LNG, and related commodity markets.
- Work alongside experienced professionals to develop analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Gain experience in front-office trading support, middle-office activities, back-office operations, and business development.
- Perform tasks related to scheduling and logistics, commercial analysis, pricing, market research, contract economics, and risk reporting.
- Observe how analytics and commercial strategy integrate with day-to-day trading and marketing.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, International Business, International Trade & Finance, Energy Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Current standing as a rising junior or senior with an expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2029.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30.
- Ability to work for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks during Summer 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
