About the role#
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Malden, Massachusetts. This role offers hands-on experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineers and production staff to improve processes, tooling, and lean initiatives. This position runs for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Research new manufacturing technologies and build business cases for their implementation.
- Train and support manufacturing staff on new processes and equipment.
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve overall workflows.
- Create and update technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and setup sheets.
- Analyze production data to find trends and resolve bottlenecks.
- Apply lean methods like Kaizen and value stream mapping.
- Perform time studies and process capability assessments to improve part consistency.
- Ensure all work meets design intent, specifications, and AS9100 requirements.
- Participate in projects focused on reducing scrap and improving throughput.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma and active enrollment in an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to tasks.

- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Malden, Massachusetts.
- The position requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment.
- You must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and lift up to 15 pounds.
