About the role#
We are looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Intern to join our team in Stuart, Florida. This is a paid, 12-week internship starting in late May 2027. You will work on-site from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role focuses on optimizing maintenance operations by streamlining inventory, auditing preventive maintenance tasks, and organizing safety equipment.
What you'll do#
- Verify equipment assets and update information in the CMMS.
- Organize and review equipment manuals, records, and documentation.
- Support the standardization of asset naming across both facilities.
- Review preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures for accuracy.
- Identify gaps or improvements in PM coverage.
- Work alongside maintenance technicians to gain practical equipment knowledge.
- Recommend updates to asset data and maintenance processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in mechatronics, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related technical field.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
- Ability to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Experience with inventory management systems like Asset Essentials.
- A basic understanding of industrial maintenance processes and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with data entry and audit procedures.
- Previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing or operational setting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Stuart, Florida (On-site).
- Physical requirements: Must be able to move in a manufacturing environment while wearing Personal Protective Equipment. You will need to sit, stand, and walk frequently. The role requires lifting or moving up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will also spend significant time working at a desk.
