About the role#
Whitcraft Group is seeking a KPO Intern to support our Kaizen Promotion Office in Stuart, Florida. This paid, full-time summer internship offers a 12-week experience starting in late May 2027. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help implement production systems within our aerospace manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop equipment, tools, fixtures, and carts for aerospace operations.
- Support KPO workflows, including documentation, process optimization, and data-driven engineering tasks.
- Build, test, and refine prototype equipment alongside engineering tech leads.
- Perform fabrication tasks such as assembly, measurement, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical records.
- Participate in process studies to recommend improvements for safety and efficiency.
- Integrate engineered solutions into production and testing environments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical degree program.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without future sponsorship.
- Ability to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Familiarity with Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Practical experience or interest in mechanical tools, fabrication, and prototyping.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or Fusion 360.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow engineering processes.
Location & details#
- Location: Stuart, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Physical requirements include mobility in a manufacturing plant, use of PPE, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
