    About the role#

    The Currency Forward Specialist Co-op joins the Trade Operations team within Investment Operations. This role supports domestic and international post-execution trade activities. You will gain experience in trading and settlement practices while working with global financial markets. This position is open only to Northeastern University students.

    What you'll do#

    • Ensure timely and accurate cash payments for foreign exchange by working with FX brokers, traders, sales assistants, and custodians.
    • Monitor CLS FX trade activity to ensure all eligible trades are matched on time.
    • Collaborate with custodians and brokers to resolve settlement issues or post-trade discrepancies.
    • Assist with the weekly review of physical mail.
    • Support the team with ad hoc project work.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
    • Proficiency in all MS Office applications.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
    • An interest in and understanding of financial markets and products.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Modality: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote).
    • Employment: Full time, paid.
