About the role#
As a Global Tax Co Op, you will join the Global Tax Services team for a six-month term. This role offers exposure to the taxation of financial products and provides a foundation for careers in accounting, financial reporting, legal, and investment product management. You will work on varied, multi-disciplinary projects while developing your analytical and data skills. This position is open only to Northeastern University students.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships and corporations.
- Handle notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Research tax and investment laws using online references.
- Coordinate with the broader finance team and other business lines.
- Support workflow, data management, and various projects within the Global Tax Services department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Data analysis skills and experience with Python or similar languages.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An independent mindset and a desire for active learning.
- A great sense of humor.

- Modality: Hybrid (in-office 4 days per week, with 1 day of remote flexibility).
