About the role#
The Energy Analytics intern will join the Power Operations group in Milwaukee. This team manages day-ahead and real-time electric trading for utility and non-utility projects. You will help the team optimize load forecasting, generation costs, and risk mitigation strategies to support reliable energy delivery.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and support improvements to energy offer strategies for power generation sales in wholesale electric markets.
- Learn how new battery projects integrate into the market.
- Review Power Purchase Agreements and Renewable Energy Credit transactions for solar and wind projects.
- Audit cost parameters for electric generators to improve how the company forecasts operating costs.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics.
- Graduation date must be after July 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- A valid driver license.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The role is full-time for the Summer 2027 term.
- Pay is between $23.10 and $27.55 per hour.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
