About the role#
WEC Energy Group is seeking an engineering intern to support operations at the Fox Energy Center in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to gain experience in power generation, plant performance, and maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Perform equipment inspections.
- Troubleshoot operation and maintenance issues.
- Conduct failure investigations.
- Assist in managing small projects and provide general project support.
- Review and update plant drawings and procedures.
- Support plant control and equipment reliability efforts.
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant codes and standards.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or HSE.
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A graduation date after July 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 2.8.
- A valid driver's license.
- Related school project experience is preferred.
