About the role#
CNN Health is seeking an intern for the Fall 2026 term to join our team in Atlanta. This is a paid, hybrid internship where you will contribute directly to our news production process. You will work 16 to 24 hours per week from October 12th through December 18th.
What you'll do#
- Learn the end to end process of crafting TV and text stories, from initial idea to script, edit, and final publication.
- Gain experience in vetting stories and conducting research.
- Develop and strengthen professional research and interview skills.
- Contribute to and write stories for CNN TV and CNN.com.
What you'll need#
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program as a rising Junior or Senior.
- Must maintain academic good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Previous writing experience is required, including published bylines. Please include links to your portfolio or published work on your resume.
- Proven experience in news writing is mandatory. Experience in medical, health, or science journalism is highly preferred.
- A strong ability to identify and tell compelling news stories.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Health, or a related field.
