About the role#
CNN is offering multiple Fact Check internship opportunities for the Fall 2026 term. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience within the news industry. Interns will work in a hybrid capacity based in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a paid position requiring a commitment of 16-24 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Fact check scripts, digital articles, and long-form stories.
- Review content to ensure editorial accuracy, fairness, and balance.
- Field editorial requests from CNN correspondents globally.
- Assist in tracking various editorial projects.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior, 18 years or older, actively enrolled in an accredited degree program.
- Academic good standing with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Pursuing a career in journalism, with studies in Journalism, Communications, English, Political Science, Media Studies, or History.
- Strong research, reporting, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-versed in current events and interested in domestic and international news.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
