About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This program provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap focused on key learning experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations.
- Demonstrate empathy and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture for patients and colleagues.
- Support immunizations by educating patients on their importance and assisting with relevant documentation.
- Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes where permitted.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns, and stocking medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to pivot quickly between tasks.
- Customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs.
