About the role#
CNN International offers multiple internship opportunities for the Fall 2026 term in Atlanta. These roles provide exposure to the newsroom, planning, and production teams. Interns will work 16 to 24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity, contributing to the creation of content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to produce, write, and create original content for broadcast and online audiences.
- Write scripts for air and assist associate producers with cutting videos and soundbites.
- Attend editorial meetings and coordinate with show teams.
- Conduct research and pre-interviews for show segments.
- Contact prospective guests and manage logistics for bookings.
- Research, pitch, and plan stories, segments, and programs on topics such as travel, business, culture, and innovation.
- Learn to use technology and systems for news and features production, including template-based graphics.
- Create clips of interviews after they air.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older) actively enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong interest in current events and international affairs.
- Proficiency in video editing software.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Ability to show initiative and ask questions.
- Understanding of international cultures and trends.
- Preference for majors in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, or Media Studies.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
