About the role#
CNN International is seeking interns for the Fall 2026 term in Atlanta. This program provides students with hands-on experience in news and features production across digital, television, and social platforms. Interns will work with teams to produce original content and gain exposure to the systems and technology used in a global newsroom. This is a paid, hybrid internship requiring 16 to 24 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to write, produce, and create original pieces for broadcast and online audiences.
- Attend editorial meetings and coordinate with show teams.
- Conduct research and pre-interviews for show segments.
- Assist associate producers with cutting video and soundbites.
- Contact prospective guests and manage logistics for bookings.
- Research, pitch, and plan stories on topics such as travel, business, innovation, and global culture.
- Learn template-based graphic skills and news production technology.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior, 18 years or older, actively enrolled in an accredited degree program.
- Academic standing of 3.0 GPA or above.
- A keen interest in current events, international affairs, and global storytelling.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in video editing software.
- Ability to provide a portfolio, writing samples, or a demo reel.
- Preferred majors include Journalism, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, or Media Studies.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
