About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the content strategy, programming, and scheduling efforts for CNN. You will work on tasks related to both linear and nonlinear programming, contributing to the planning and curation of original content. This is a paid, 10-week program running from October 12th to December 18th.
What you'll do#
- Support linear and nonlinear programming and scheduling operations.
- Research and track the competitive landscape on a weekly basis.
- Assist in updating and checking program listings.
- Create curation materials to support original programming planning.
- Evaluate content for potential acquisitions.
- Maintain inventory across tracking documents and content trackers.
- Assist with data cleanup and presentation building for content analysis projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program as a rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student.
- Academic good standing with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- A passion for news, media, film, and television, supported by extensive industry knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe software.
- A strong curiosity for the content planning and scheduling process.
- Ability to work 16-24 hours per week.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Modality: Hybrid, with regular in-office attendance expected.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $19 per hour for undergraduate interns; $25 per hour for graduate-level interns.
