About the role#
CNN International Show Teams offer internship opportunities for the Fall 2026 term. These roles provide a look into program development and execution across various shows. You will work alongside production teams to gain hands-on experience in the broadcast news industry.
What you'll do#
- Work with the show team on writing, guest-booking, and field producing.
- Participate in daily and planning meetings.
- Research stories and guests for the show.
- Pitch ideas to the team.
- Transcribe tape and write for air.
- Assist in administrative tasks, including reading books and preparing notes for meetings.
- Identify video and utilize CNN databases.
What you'll need#
- Must be an actively enrolled student at an accredited college or university.
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or above).
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in-office 2-3 days per week.
- Interest in international politics, economics, and TV broadcast news.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Majors in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, or Business Administration are preferred.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 10 weeks (October 12th to December 18th).
- Commitment: 16-24 hours per week.
- Compensation: $19 per hour for undergraduate interns; $25 per hour for graduate-level interns.
