About the role#
The Performance Improvement Fellow will work directly with the SVP of Performance Improvement and National Networks. This full-time, one-year fellowship begins in June 2027 and focuses on advancing strategic priorities in member networks, performance improvement, and education. You will gain exposure to enterprise strategy by working alongside executive leadership and healthcare executives from academic medical centers and health systems to address complex challenges in quality, safety, and operations.
What you'll do#
- Lead high-impact strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams to improve quality, safety, and operations.
- Partner with executive leaders, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to drive project execution.
- Conduct research and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Develop executive-level presentations, reports, and white papers to support strategic decision-making.
- Facilitate meetings and collaborative workgroups with senior leaders and member organizations.
- Participate in executive leadership meetings to gain insight into enterprise strategy.
What you'll need#
- An MHA, MPH, or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- No previous work experience is required, though previous healthcare internships are strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and a willingness to travel.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
