About the role#
The Performance Improvement Fellow works directly with the SVP of Performance Improvement & National Networks to support strategic priorities in member networks, performance improvement, and education. This is a full-time, one-year fellowship beginning in June 2027. Fellows gain exposure to enterprise strategy by working closely with executive leadership and healthcare executives from academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, and community hospitals to address challenges in quality, safety, and operations.
What you'll do#
- Lead high-impact strategic initiatives to improve quality, safety, operations, and performance.
- Partner with executive leaders, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to drive project execution.
- Conduct research and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to develop actionable recommendations.
- Develop executive-level presentations, reports, and white papers to support strategic decision-making.
- Facilitate meetings and collaborative workgroups with senior leaders and member organizations.
- Participate in executive leadership meetings to gain insight into enterprise strategy.
What you'll need#
- An MHA, MPH, or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- No previous work experience is required, though previous internships in a healthcare setting are strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A willingness to travel.
