About the role#
The Performance Improvement Fellow works directly with the SVP of Performance Improvement and National Networks. This full-time, one-year fellowship begins in June 2027. You will support strategic priorities across Member Networks, Performance Improvement, and Education and Learning. The role offers exposure to enterprise strategy and allows you to work alongside healthcare executives from academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, and national health systems.
What you'll do#
- Lead high-impact strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams to improve quality, safety, and operations.
- Partner with executive leaders, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to drive project execution.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and collaborative workgroups with senior leadership.
- Conduct research and analyze data to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Develop executive-level presentations, reports, and white papers to support decision-making.
- Participate in executive leadership meetings to gain insight into enterprise strategy.
- Contribute to the design and advancement of performance improvement programs and member resources.
What you'll need#
- An MHA, MPH, or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- No previous work experience is required, though previous healthcare internships are strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative and project management skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to travel.

- Compensation: This role is paid and incentive eligible, with a salary range of $51,900 to $87,900.
