About the role#
This is a full-time, one-year fellowship beginning in June 2027. You will work directly with the Chief Medical Officer on projects that use data to facilitate performance improvement, quality and safety assessment, and health services research. You will gain exposure to senior-level executives from academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and community hospitals while assisting with internal and external analyses using Vizient databases.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with internal analytic teams and health providers on various initiatives.
- Support Operations and Quality Executives by fulfilling member analytical requests focused on clinical improvement opportunities, such as length of stay, mortality, cost, and readmissions.
- Conduct quantitative analysis and manage projects in collaboration with departments and providers.
- Use data analysis to help quality and clinical staff develop strategies to improve performance.
- Assist in managing and enhancing existing data-driven performance improvement tools while helping develop new programs to serve provider needs.
- Support the strategic plan for comparative data and performance improvement.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in a related field, such as Data Science, Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, or Statistics.
- A completed internship within a healthcare setting.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Ability to provide a resume, a one-page personal statement, and a project portfolio during the interview process.
