Summer Intern – Indirect Spend

About the role#

The Summer Intern for Indirect Spend will support key projects aimed at enhancing member resources, strengthening supplier engagement, and identifying growth opportunities in non-bid categories. This full-time, 10-week program offers exposure to supplier management, category strategy, and project execution within the healthcare industry. The role runs from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Support the Indirect Spend team on projects to enhance member resources and supplier engagement.
• Maintain and update internal SharePoint content, including the VizTech Knowledge Hub and team pages.
• Assist in data collection and analysis to support the development of RFPs.
• Participate in supplier research, bid evaluation, financial analysis, and scoring.
• Research potential new categories by assessing suppliers, member usage, market share, growth potential, and revenue impact.
• Collaborate with Category Managers on contracting tasks, supplier onboarding, and internal engagement activities.
• Create presentations, briefing documents, and project updates for leadership review.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a four-year accredited college, university, or graduate program in good academic standing.
• Completion of sophomore year as an undergraduate before the start of the internship, or a recently completed degree.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to demonstrate effective project coordination and implementation.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving.
• Professional interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, business partners, and suppliers.
• A basic understanding of workplace ethics and communication in a professional environment.
