About the role#
This summer internship provides an opportunity to support the Indirect Spend team on projects that enhance member resources, strengthen supplier engagement, and explore growth opportunities in non-bid categories. Interns gain direct exposure to supplier management, category strategy, and project execution within the healthcare performance improvement industry. This is a full-time, paid position lasting 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Support the Indirect Spend team by conducting supplier research, bid evaluation, financial analysis, and scoring.
- Assist in pulling and analyzing data to build RFPs.
- Maintain and update internal SharePoint content, including the VizTech Knowledge Hub and other team pages.
- Research potential new categories by assessing suppliers, member usage, market share, growth potential, and revenue impact.
- Collaborate with Category Managers to refresh tools, templates, and materials for supplier onboarding and performance measurement.
- Prepare presentations, briefing documents, and project updates for internal stakeholders and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year accredited college, university, or graduate program in good academic standing.
- Completion of at least the sophomore year of an undergraduate degree before the start of the internship, or a recently completed degree.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to demonstrate effective project coordination and implementation.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving.
- A basic understanding of workplace ethics and working in a hybrid environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, internal business partners, and external suppliers.
