About the role#
The Virginia Department of Transportation offers a paid summer internship for students interested in public service. This program connects your academic studies with practical work experience. What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to assigned program areas.
- Research and compile data to create reports and presentations.

What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an Associate degree program or higher.
- Status as at least a rising sophomore or equivalent.
- Age 18 or older by the start of employment.
- Ability to maintain full-time student status before and after the internship.
- Knowledge of business principles, procedures, and office practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret policies, and communicate effectively with others.
- Strong preference for students pursuing degrees in Business or Accounting.
