About the role#
The Supply Chain Intern supports procurement and sourcing for critical infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in purchasing operations, vendor management, and material coordination. This role offers an opportunity to develop practical skills in a project-driven environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the creation and processing of purchase orders based on field requisitions and project schedules.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding material availability, fabrication progress, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase order status and expected delivery dates in ERP and procurement systems.
- Update system data to reflect costs, lead times, and inventory parameters.
- Help prepare material bid packages and vendor prequalification lists.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to data integrity.
