About the role#
The Supply Chain Intern supports procurement, sourcing, and expediting for infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in purchasing operations, vendor management, and material coordination. This role offers the chance to develop practical skills in a project-driven environment while working with buyers, sourcing specialists, and project teams.
What you'll do#
- Support the creation and processing of purchase orders based on field requisitions and project schedules.
- Assist with routine supplier follow-up regarding material availability, fabrication progress, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase order status and expected delivery dates in ERP and procurement systems.
- Help prepare material bid packages and vendor prequalification lists.
- Interface with operations, engineering, project teams, and supply chain partners to support procurement activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior, or a recent graduate, in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
