About the role#
Verisk is hiring for an Actuarial Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, paid internship lasting ten weeks from June through August 2027. You will work in a hybrid capacity, requiring you to be in the office at least three days per week.
What you'll do#
- Prepare products for regulators and internal or external customers accurately and on time.
- Write and run computer programs to extract data for review and report compilation.
- Review the quality of data submitted by insurance companies at both transactional and aggregate levels.
- Develop automated ways to improve processing, including data quality and error detection.
- Make actuarial and data management presentations to Insurer Panels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university studying Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Risk Management, Operational Research, or a related discipline.
- Graduation date between May and June 2028.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under time constraints, multi-task, and adjust plans as priorities change.
