About the role#
The VCA ASEC Rotating Intern position is a full-time, paid opportunity based in Los Angeles, California. This internship runs during the summer of 2026 and provides hands-on experience within a veterinary hospital setting. You will gain exposure to various medical departments and work alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through different departments to observe and assist with veterinary care.
- Provide support to veterinarians and technicians during medical procedures.
- Interact with clients in a professional and helpful manner.
- Learn and apply practical knowledge of animal health and hospital operations.
- Help with the daily tasks required to keep the hospital running smoothly.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to the field of veterinary medicine and animal care.
- Strong communication skills for working with staff and pet owners.
- The ability to work well within a team environment.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different hospital needs.
- Relevant majors include Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Public Health.
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal-related field is a plus.
