About the role#
Unum is hiring for a 10-week paid internship in sales and client management for Summer 2026. This full-time role is based on-site in our Phoenix office. You will work within a professional environment to learn the lifecycle of a Unum case, from initial prospecting and quoting to enrollment and relationship management. You will be paired with mentors and sponsors to guide your experience, attend skill development workshops, and participate in networking opportunities with other interns.
What you'll do#
- Work on assigned projects independently and within teams.
- Participate in targeted job shadows with sales and client management colleagues.
- Attend weekly information sessions to learn about our field and home office functions.
- Prepare and deliver a Capstone Presentation analyzing an assigned business case to key leaders.
- Receive support for resume writing and interview preparation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college degree program, with a preference for rising seniors or first-year graduate students.
- A genuine interest in sales, client management, and the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and involvement in extra-curricular activities.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
