About the role#
Unum is seeking interns for a 10-week paid program in Atlanta. You will join our team to explore careers in sales and client management within the disability-based employee benefits marketplace. This internship provides a look at the full lifecycle of a case, from prospecting and quoting to enrollment and relationship management. You will work both independently and with teams while receiving guidance from assigned mentors and sponsors.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience across the lifecycle of a Unum case.
- Participate in skill development workshops and weekly information sessions.
- Complete guided job shadows with sales and client management colleagues.
- Receive support for resume writing and interview preparation.
- Analyze an assigned business case for a final Capstone Presentation to company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college degree program, with preference for rising seniors or first-year graduate students.
- A genuine interest in sales, client management, and the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through extra-curricular activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.

- Modality: On-site, full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
