About the role#
The Block Lab in the Department of Animal Sciences seeks a student assistant to support research in animal reproduction. This role offers hands-on experience with laboratory and animal-related techniques, including cell culture, embryo handling, and reproductive ultrasonography. You will work directly with graduate students on ongoing projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform general laboratory tasks like dishwashing and sterilization of supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory space.
- Conduct quality control assessments on laboratory equipment.
- Assist graduate students with research projects and various animal procedures.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student currently enrolled at the University of Wyoming.
- You must have received and accepted a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred.
- Reliability and punctuality are required.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site at the Animal Science building in Laramie, Wyoming.
- The role is part-time and paid at $16 per hour.
- This is a rolling term position.
