About the role#
The University of Notre Dame is hiring Dish Crew members for the LaFortune Student Center. This is an entry-level position focused on kitchen sanitation and operational support. You will gain foundational experience in a professional kitchen environment while helping maintain the standards required for campus events and hospitality services. This role is open to students from various fields including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Nursing, and Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Operate and maintain the dishwasher to ensure proper washing, rinsing, and sanitizing.
- Keep the dish area clean and organized throughout your shift.
- Manually scrub and sanitize pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
- Load dirty dishes into the dishwasher and unload clean items for storage.
- Provide utility support including emptying trash and spot sweeping.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to help the team with various tasks as needed.
