About the role#
This is a 6-month, full-time co-op position based at our headquarters in Camden, New Jersey. You will join the Research & Development team to work on projects for brands like Campbell's, Goldfish, V8, and Rao’s. This role involves hands-on work in our research kitchens and pilot plants, providing you with mentorship and professional experience across various product categories.
What you'll do#
- Create bench top prototypes in the kitchen and scale them up for commercialization in the pilot plant.
- Solve technical challenges using experimental design and data analysis.
- Lead a specific project and present your final results to the R&D organization.
- Participate in and lead product tastings.
- Collaborate with your immediate team and other departments.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- You must have finished at least one semester of core classes in your field.
- You must be returning to school for at least one semester after this co-op ends.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- You must be comfortable working with all food types, including meats and common allergens like soy, wheat, egg, fish, shellfish, milk, and various nuts.
- You must be able to work on-site in Camden, New Jersey, 5 days per week.
- We are only considering candidates who do not require employer sponsorship to work in the United States.
