Data Engineer, DA&AI Co-Op

About the role#

This co-op position offers hands-on experience working with Generative AI and automation within an enterprise environment. You will work with Agentic Frameworks in a Databricks setting to build and refine intelligent systems alongside senior AI engineers and data scientists.

What you'll do#

• Build and test AI agents to automate internal workflows and improve data retrieval.
• Provide feedback to optimize and enhance agent performance.
• Experiment with and refine system prompts to increase output accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor model performance to identify and resolve inconsistencies or hallucinations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications.
• Research and test emerging frameworks in the Agentic AI space.
• Document model schemas, API integrations, and AI governance standards.

What you'll need#

• Current graduate student status in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Foundational programming skills in Python and an understanding of SQL.
• Familiarity with AI concepts gained through coursework or personal projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical curiosity.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and learn in a rapidly evolving field.
