About the role#
As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will gain hands-on experience using data and technology to drive business decisions. You will work with the Business Intelligence team to turn data into insights, reports, and tools that help us better understand our business, consumers, and customers. This role provides exposure to modern analytics technologies and helps build a foundation for future opportunities in data-focused fields.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data.
- Assist with data collection, cleansing, validation, and transformation.
- Gain experience with Data Warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Analyze business, sales, and operational data to identify trends and translate findings into insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop reporting solutions.
- Support ad hoc reporting and BI projects.
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and automated processes.
- Apply data governance and quality best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, and transform data.
- Basic understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, data modeling, and reporting structures.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Snowflake, or other BI and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlington, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays).
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $35 per hour.
- Status: Paid internship.
