About the role#
This internship provides students the chance to apply engineering principles in a professional setting. You will work on team and individual assignments, gaining exposure to real-world projects. The program helps you develop technical and professional skills while exploring potential career paths at Devon Energy.
What you'll do#
- Perform duties typically assigned to an entry-level engineer.
- Apply engineering principles, theories, and concepts to daily assignments.
- Collaborate with field staff on tasks related to drilling, completions, production, gas processing, and pipeline operations.
- Assist with technical evaluations and generate operational procedures.
- Support reservoir performance assessments and identify developmental prospects.
- Use digital tools to optimize and automate processes.
What you'll need#
- Full-time student status pursuing a degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- Currently a Sophomore or Junior.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Integrity, accountability, and a focus on business improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry practices is a plus.

- Locations: Oklahoma City, OK and Houston, TX.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
