About the role#
Devon Energy is seeking interns to join our Data Engineering team for the Summer 2027 program. This role offers exposure to modern data engineering technologies and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support reliable data movement.
- Work with data engineers and analysts to process, clean, and transform data using tools like Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake.
- Create and maintain data models and data integration processes.
- Test and debug data applications and scripts to ensure data quality.
- Document data processing workflows and best practices.
- Apply cloud computing concepts using platforms such as Azure DevOps.
- Build data visualization dashboards and reports.
- Participate in team meetings to understand business data requirements.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SQL, data processing, and data modeling.
- Interest in data engineering and cloud computing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate with a team.
- Attention to detail and digital literacy.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
