About the role#
Devon Energy is seeking an intern for the Marketing and Midstream team for the summer of 2027. You will focus on data analytics, working alongside the team to analyze information and support business decisions. This role provides hands-on experience with real-world datasets and industry-specific challenges.
What you'll do#
- Work with business stakeholders and technology teams to define data requirements and objectives.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to energy marketing, such as pricing, market performance, and supply trends.
- Identify patterns and opportunities within business data to help inform decision-making.
- Build data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate insights.
- Document your methodologies, findings, and recommendations for the team.
- Apply your technical skills to automate processes and explore digital tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.
- Standing as a sophomore or junior.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- A basic understanding of data analysis and visualization.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in business operations and technology-driven solutions.
- Ability to present complex data insights clearly.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in either Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, or Houston, Texas.
