About the role#
This internship provides students with the opportunity to apply geoscience principles in a professional setting. You will participate in team and individual assignments, gaining exposure to real-world projects while exploring potential career paths. This program focuses on developing both technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Perform duties typically assigned to an entry-level geosciences petro-technical professional.
- Assist geologists and geophysicists in evaluating prospective oil and gas trends.
- Identify new drilling prospects and support projects within existing fields.
- Collaborate directly with geoscience professionals on core evaluation, well log interpretation, and mapping data sets.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency, including tasks related to process optimization and automation.
- Engage with emerging digital tools, data, and technology.
What you'll need#
- Status as a full-time student pursuing a Geoscience degree, specifically at the Master’s level.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player and communicate openly.
