About the role#
This position offers hands-on experience within the California Department of Motor Vehicles IT Infrastructure Branch. You will support various teams including network, cloud, infrastructure, database, and service desk operations. This role involves administrative, technical, and analytical tasks to help maintain technical operations.
What you'll do#
- Work with network, infrastructure, cloud, database, and service desk teams to learn and support daily tasks.
- Assist in documentation, record-keeping, and process tracking for technical operations.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting and problem resolution for operational challenges.
- Assist with account provisioning and access management for cloud-based services.
- Respond to customer inquiries, service requests, and incident reports.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Contribute to database management tasks, including data entry and performance tracking.
What you'll need#
- Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term.
- Enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students.
- Major in Computer Science.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders.
Location & details#
- This is a 100% remote position based out of the Sacramento DMV headquarters.
- Work must be performed in the state of California.
- Schedule is flexible Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM, with potential for evening work during project change windows.
- This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position.
