About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant to support the accounting team. You will work in a learning capacity to handle professional accounting tasks, specifically focusing on travel-related claims and special projects. This is a part-time, temporary position based in Sacramento.
What you'll do#
- Review, analyze, and audit travel-related advance or reimbursement claims.
- Ensure all work complies with SAM and bargaining unit contracts.
- Assist with the processing and printing of ORF checks.
- Support year-end accruals and various accounting projects.
- Manage office filing and general records maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university at least half-time.
- A declared major in Accounting, Management Systems in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Employment Status: Part-time, non-benefited, and temporary.
- Residency: You must live and perform all work in California.
