About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant for the Accounts Receivable team at the California DMV headquarters. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Sacramento. You will work with the Financial Services Branch to manage reconciliations and financial processing tasks.
What you'll do#
- Process credit card refunds and check requests.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for Automated Billing Information Services, auto registration accounts, and compromise settlement agreements.
- Handle cashier overage and shortage requests from field offices.
- Prepare written correspondence for field office management regarding discrepancy reversals.
- Post revenue corrections using the Oracle Automatic File System.
- Research and post error card corrections to Series I terminals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.
- Ability to maintain consistent and regular attendance.
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment like computers, copiers, scanners, and printers.
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships.
Location & details#
- Location: DMV Headquarters, Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site only.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Hours: Up to 24 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours during academic breaks.
