About the role#
The Building Security Summer Internship Program at United Wholesale Mortgage offers students hands-on experience in security management and facility protection. You will work directly with the physical security team to help safeguard company personnel, facilities, and assets. This 12-week program includes job shadowing, access to senior leaders, and networking opportunities alongside a large cohort of fellow interns.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the field training officer program to learn policies, procedures, and access levels.
- Assist with security operations in the Global Security Operations Center.
- Rotate through the Security Intel team.
- Audit access management badges and access rights.
- Create content for the weekly Security Newsletter and assist the Security Training Team.
- Work with server infrastructure and security technologies.
- Take inventory of security equipment.
- Coordinate large-scale corporate events and assist with the Security Charity Golf Outing fundraiser.
What you'll need#
- Current junior or senior status, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2027 or 2028.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
- Willingness to be coached, openness to learning, and flexibility.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- A degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience working with computers and software is preferred.

- This internship is located in Pontiac, Michigan.
- The position is fully on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
