About the role#
Union Pacific Railroad is hiring a Marketing & Sales intern to join our team in Omaha. This is a year-round, paid internship that offers hands-on experience in the rail transportation industry. You will work alongside our staff to support core business operations and contribute to growth initiatives. This role requires in-person work in Omaha, Nebraska.
What you'll do#
- Assist with essential department tasks, processes, and customer service activities to support our sales team.
- Support customer outreach and business development efforts to help identify new market opportunities.
- Provide administrative assistance to keep projects and operations running smoothly.
- Develop and execute action plans for team projects to improve internal processes.
- Use Salesforce and Tableau to document work, communicate with the team, and generate reports.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate or graduate studies.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Economics, or Marketing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic organization, prioritization, time management, and project management skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Modality: Hybrid and on-site.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Relocation and housing stipends are available for students living more than 65 miles from Omaha. Employees have access to an on-site cafeteria, fitness center, and federal credit union.
