About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Columbus, Ohio. You will join a structured program designed to apply your academic studies to real-world business scenarios within the construction industry. You may work at a construction job site or in an office supporting multiple projects.
What you'll do#
- Support financial management tasks including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
- Assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis for budgeting, cost tracking, and operational metrics.
- Review billing details and invoice backup against client contractual requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Help with the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and monitoring project cash flow.
- Validate project cost coding and verify subcontractor or vendor account statuses.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by using automation and AI tools to standardize financial workflows and reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and manage project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- A demonstrated interest in construction accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to manage your time and prioritize work under the guidance of a supervisor.
