About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring for a Fall Co-Op position in Buffalo, New York. This role runs from May or June 2027 through December 2027. You will work full-time at 40 hours per week. This is a paid position with an hourly rate between $20.00 and $25.00. You will gain experience in construction management, project financials, safety protocols, and quality control.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, and document control.
- Process shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Attend project site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies for project items.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out tasks.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program for Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related construction management field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
- Interest in learning construction management practices.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with employees, clients, and subcontractors.
