About the role#
Turner Construction Company is seeking an intern for the Fall 2025 term. This position offers hands-on experience in construction management by supporting active project sites or office-based departments. You will work under supervision to build foundational knowledge in project financial management, safety protocols, subcontractor relationships, and project lifecycles.
What you'll do#
- Assist in daily supervised activities related to the development of construction projects.
- Support the project team with material tracking, file management, document control, and meeting coordination.
- Provide progress reports to your supervisor and actively participate in training, meetings, and orientation sessions.
- Comply with all safety protocols and expectations, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Apply academic knowledge to real-world work activities and maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program, with at least one year of completed education.
- Preferred majors include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to work on a construction project site.
- A strong desire to learn about the construction industry and management processes.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to read and comprehend written information.
