About the role#
This is a 12-month internship within the Cash Management and Treasury Department. You will support daily liquidity management, cash operations, and collateral monitoring. This role involves regular communication with internal teams, including Investment Finance and Corporate Finance, as well as external custodians and administrators. You will gain insight into treasury operations and how these decisions connect to broader investment strategies.
What you'll do#
- Prepare daily liquidity reports for internal stakeholders such as Risk and Total Portfolio Management.
- Manage daily cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity.
- Monitor daily cashflow receipts and outgoing payments for various investments.
- Process cash transfers in a timely manner and ensure trades settle within market timelines.
- Verify and provide wiring instructions for multiple currencies.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational risk mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Technical skills in Excel and VBA.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto, Ontario.
- The role follows a hybrid, office-first work model at 16 York Street.
- The contract term ends in August 2027.
