About the role#
Trane Technologies is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to join our team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers a rolling term. You will work on-site from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
What you'll do#
- Work with team members to reach group goals.
- Solve technical problems to help our customers.
- Organize your own work and prioritize tasks based on their importance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as participation in campus organizations, sports, or work projects.
- Proficiency in C++ and Java object-oriented software design.
- Experience with Embedded Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with manual and automated testing, software development processes, and internal tools for code reviews and defect resolution.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: Full-time, hybrid work model.
- Compensation: $22.50 - $31.00 per hour.
